Endlich ist es soweit. Heute Abend kann ich mit meinem Weihnachtsmann beginnen. Es hat lange gedauert, bis ich mich für ein Motiv entscheiden konnte, da alle wirklich toll aussehen.
Der Start war eigentlich am Sonnabend geplant, jedoch hat mir der gute Mann aus dem Handarbeitsladen den falschen Stoff verkauft. Statt 18 ct. Aida war es dann doch nur 16 ct. Aida. Glücklicherweise ist es mir gleich nach den ersten paar Stichen aufgefallen, denn das fertige Motiv hätte dort niemals drauf gepasst und ich hätte mich wahnsinnig geärgert.
So musste ich gestern wieder neuen Stoff besorgen. Ich habe mich dann doch für 20 ct. Aida entschieden, da das fertige Motiv sonst zu groß wäre.
Finally I can start my Woodland Santa this evening. It takes a long time till I choose one because all charts are so beautyful.
Actually I planned to start last saturday but the nice man in the needleworkshop sold me the wrong fabric. I want to buy 18 ct. Aida and get 16 ct. Aida. Fortunately I note that something is wrong after a few crosses.
Yesterday I bought new fabric. This time I choose 20 ct. Aida.

Das ist mein erstes HAED-Projekt.
Begonnen habe ich damit am 15.01.2011. Habe bisher 5 Seiten geschafft. Es ist zwar nicht viel, wenn man die eigentliche Größe betrachtet, aber das Ergebnis ist umwerfend. Die Farben sehen fantastisch aus. Gestickt wird es auf 18 ct. Aida.
Das Motiv ist einfach nur zauberhaft. Überall sind kleine Elfen, Zwerge und sonstiges Kleinigkeiten versteckt. Eigentlich soll es mal in unserem Wohnzimmer hängen, aber meine kleine Tochter hat es sich schon für ihr Kinderzimmer reserviert. ;O)
Aber jetzt wird es erstmal zur Seite gelegt und passend zur Weihnachtszeit Woodland Santa von Scott Gustafson begonnen.

I started on 15.01.2011. Now I finished page 5. It is not much but the effect is amazing. The colors looks great. I stitch it on 18 ct. Aida.
The design is magical. Everywhere are hidden little fearies, dwarfs and other mystical things.
Someday it should hang in our living room but my little daughter has reserved it for her nursery. ;O)
Now I put it away and start with Woodland Santa form Scott Gustafson.

Mein erstes großes Projekt, dass ich tatsächlich beendet habe.
290 x 210 Stiche
Begonnen im März 2010 und beendet im August 2011.
Jetzt muss es nur noch gewaschen und eingerahmt werden.
